The deck of the structure is 13*23 feet above the high water level of Lake Mead* The location is on the deep water side of an Island, which was separated from the main shore by shallow water when the lake level was high. The pump housing and pumps are located at the extreme end of the cantilever structure. The cantilever structure was fabricated and erected by the American Bridge Company, subcontractors under Engineers Limited*
