I agree.( fit (l </ At / February 10, 1966 Illinois State Fair, Administration Building, Illinois State Fair Grounds, Springfield, Illinois Gentlemen: The following shall constitute your and our under- standing and agreement: 1. You hereby engage us, and we hereby agree, to furnish an entertainment presentation consisting of Richard Red Skelton upon the terms and conditions herein contained. Such presentation shall take place at the Illinois State Fair, Grandstand, Springfield, Illinois, for one (1) per- formance (herein called "the performance") on Saturday, August 20, 1966, at 8:00 P. M. You agree that we shall have and exercise complete control over the performance, which shall run approximately sixty (60) minutes to seventy-five (75) minutes in length. 2. You hereby agree to compensate us for all the services and talents furnished hereunder the following: (a) The guaranteed sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25*000) NET without any deduction or withholding whatsoever; and (b) Fifty per cent (50$) of all gross receipts (exclusive of admissions taxes) in excess of Thirty-seven Thousand Dollars ($37*000). The above sums shall be paid by you to ourdesig- nated representative immediately before commencement of the scheduled performance of the show. Such payment shall be by certified check, money order or cash. There shall be no de- ductions whatsoever. You shall first apply any and all re- ceipts derived from the entertainment presentation to the payments required hereunder. 3??
