STUDENT BODY VICE PRESIDENT MILLS-Spoke to the Senate and provided breakdown of ideas for menu and locations for the end of the year Senate banquet. SENATOR FLEISCHMAN—Corrections on Senate Minutes 26-12 (see APPROVAL OF MINUTES) SENATOR FENDELL-Believes that the non-discrimination policy should be reconsidered. SENATOR CAMPBELL pointed out that an item cannot be reconsidered unless it is in the meeting immediately following the meeting when the item was approved. SENATOR FENDELL sees an urgency with this item since it is to be on the ballot this week. ALLEN CHAISTAIN stated to the Senate that the copy that he was given to put on the ballot was the copy that is now up for reconsideration by the Senate, not the revised copy that was approved by the Senate. It will therefore not be on the ballot for this election. SENATOR CAMPBELL stated that she does not see the urgency in this matter. This can be discussed further after the election. If David has problems the policy, he can come in the office and to the committee meetings and express his concerns there. Can also work on more changes for the policy over the summer. SENATE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE MOORE informed the Senate that David was out of town when Constitutional Revision met and the day the Senate passed the item was the day David's mother was discovered missing, so he was not in attendance. SENATOR LAXAGUE stated that after lengthy discussion with David, he feels that the only problem David has is that the word program has been removed. SENATOR AGUERO-Encouraged the senate to vote and to encourage others to vote also, it is an important election. SENATE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE MOORE- The Senate made a decision to approve the revised edition of the non-discrimination policy and should stick by their decision. ALLEN CHAISTAIN-Informed the Senate the locations for the polling booths: Moyer Student Union (2 booths) Beam Hall Flora Dungan Humanities Library Engineering (courtyard) Classroom Building Complex (by Softball field) Dining Commons) 3 SENATE MEETING 26-16 / APRIL 8, 1996 IX.
