I agree.\ Sears, Roebuck and Co. Retail Stores 601 Fremont St* Las Vegas, Nevada September 16, 1952 Mr* W* H. Johnson, Acting Qen* Mgr* Las Vegas Land & Water Co* 401 South 2nd Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Johnson: Today I received your bill, number 297, in the amount of $1516, which is for eight months at $189*50 per month* This bill, as I understand it, covers cooling water for the refrigeration machine for the period of January 1st, up to and including Aug. 31, 1952* In my opinion the bill is very unjust and out of order on the basis that (1) our cooling system is not turned on until about May 15th and (2) 100# of our water used for cooling of these coils is recovered and recirculated* The only water used is the amount of evaporation which takes place; our coils are enclosed in a housing and it is located inside the building* X am sure the $189*50 per month was not arrived at by the amount of water used, but must have been arrived at by some technicality* Therefore, I do not feel justified in making payment for the amount of $1516, and will await further consideration * ret/lm cc: Mr* Allen, c/o Public Service Comm., Carson City, Nev* F14126-S SHOP AT SEARS AND SAVE
