    SECTION 6. Any ordinance or part of ordinance in conflict herewith is hereby repealed. SECTION 7. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. ORDINANCE NO. 715 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DEALING WITH LICENSING FOR THE PURPOSES OF REGULATION AND REVENUE OF EVERY KIND OF LAWFUL BUSINESS TRANSACTED OR CARRIED ON WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF US.VEGAS, STATE OF NEVADA: FIXING THE RATES OF LICENSE TAX AND REGUUTION; PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF LICENSE FEES; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas has been considering -the licensing procedures and ordinances of the City with the purpose in mind of making changes as a convenience to the citizens of the City of Las Vegas; and WHEREAS, a postcard survey was made by the City of persons not already licensed on an annual basis, and such survey is sufficiently favorable to warrant a change of all license fees to be on a semi-annual basis. NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF US VEGAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1, Notwithstanding (the provisions of any other ordinance of the City of Las Vegas, alL license fees heretofore paid on a quarterly basis required by any ordinance of the City of Las Vegas shall be paid on a semi-annual basis as hereinafter provided. SECTION 2. Any person licensed by the City of Las Vegas whose semi-annual license fee is greater than $750.00 may pay such license fee in installments as follows: 50/£ on the due date, and the remaining $0% within ninety (90) days from the due date. SECTION 3. Permanent licenses shall be issued by the Supervisor of Licensing and Revenue of the City of Las Vegas, authorizing a person to conduct a lawful business within the City, regardless of whether the fees to conduct said business are paid annually, semi-annually, or on any other basis. Such permanent license shall be prominently displayed in the place of business for which it is issued and shall be retained by the licensee as long as his license is in effect. SECTION U. All businesses required to have a license under any of the ordinances of the City of Las Vegas shall be notified before the due date, of each license fee, provided* however, that the failure to notify any lawful business shall not be held to waive the payment of a business license, and provided further that the actual receipt of such notice is in no case required.
