Smith Supplementing my letter to you of September 23, in connection with the above entitled matter, I have now been advised by State Engineer Shamberger under date of September 27, 1954, that notice of publication was transmitted on that date to the North Las Vegas News, As you know, publication must be for a period of thirty days, followed by a default period of another thirty days before the permit can issue. I hope to persuade the State Engineer to issue the permit upon completion of the publication and without waiting for the expiration of the default period on the ground that there is no water user in the vicinity that can be affected by the proposed change, and that the Las Vegas Valley Water District has already approved the transfer and use of the entire amount covered by the original permit No. 7200. of water Las Vegas, Nevada October 4, 1954 CALVIN M.
