    Well No. -1 Applicant Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company Affidavit by Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company By - R. L. Adamson Affidavit dated December 2, 1927 “That at least #75,000 has been expended in-- the completion of said works and at the expense of the applicant." Improvement consisted of: "a 12" drilled well 635’ deep with 12" casing; reinforced concrete settling basin 15’ x 41* with necessary fittings; 6* woven wire fence around well and basin; 12" pipe from well to basin; pipe line from settling baSln to Railroad Company yards at Las Vegas 1.82 miles long consisting of 24" and 16" pipe; stand pipe lines; fire lines; coach hydrant line; stock yards water lines, roundhouse and shop water lines and miscellaneous water lines to various Railroad Company station facilities, and were made at the applicant’s terminal and property at Las Vegas, Nevada." "Said improvements were begun prior to August 23, 1924, and were completed prior to November 1, 1927." Proof of Application of Water to Beneficial Use (under Permit No. 7200) executed March 1, 1930 by R. L. Adamson for LA&SLRR Co. contains following statement: "Water from subterranean channel or artesian belt is diverted through 12" drilled well, 635 feet deep, to a settl­ing basin; thence through 24" wood stave pipe line to a 2*500,000 gallon; concrete reservoir. Water is drawn from the reservoir for domestic and railroad use through one 16" wood stave pipe and one 24" cast iron pipe lines, from which main pipe lines 6", 8" and 10" cast iron mains distribute water for domestic and railroad use."
