Dear Slrj O F F I C E O F e x e c u t iv e a s s i s t a n t FEB 1 0 1942 LOS ANGELES, CALIF. 1942 Budget recommendations sent you with my letter October 14, 1941, your file 088, inoluded water main extensions in the F&irview Tract, located north of Fremont and east of 9th Street. Pipe for same was Inoluded In leqn 62-4 of January 13th, which we expect to receive next week. I attach, in duplicate, a pencil sketch showing location of existing lines in the Fairvlew, and in dotted red the extensions we would like to make, thru Blocks 5, 6, 11 and 12 and on Mesquite Street east from the line recently installed for the Army project in Crandvlew Addition, to afford a circulating system. The line on Ogden Street east from the meter at the alley of Block 6, belongs to the Fourteenth Street Water Company, We have arranged to re-locate the meter further east on 14th Street, and will tie into their line at the south end of Block 5, setting a cross at this intersection to provide against future expansion on Bast Fremont. In 1930, Sebastian Mlkullch laid a small service line from the end of our main In Block 6, northerly through Block 11, and advises the eight customers thereon are noK'everloading it. At the corner of 13th and Stewart is a large apartment house whose owners also complain of Inadequate service. As a matter of Information I attach also a statement of revenues derived from these four blocks, which per year. amounts to i?92
