Los Angeles - March Jl, 19^5 Mr. 0. F. Ashby: As a matter of information, am sending you by United States Mail a projectile of the type we used in gun-perforating Wells 2, 3, 4 and 9 at Las Vegas. Back of this projectile there is a charge of high explosive, and the whole thing is fitted into a heavy ^cartridge, which in turn is placed in a long tube with which 24 shots can be made with each Insertion in the well.
