Los Angeles - Aug. 16, 1950 -558©* Mr. tin. Reinhardt: (do: Hr. T.W. Bockes - Omaha .Mr. W.H. Hulalzer - " ) Supplementing my letter of August 2nd In connection with hearing before the City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Monday, July 31st; I enclose copy of letter from the City Attorney of Las Vegas to the Public Service Commission of Nevada, dated August 10th, In which you will note they have demanded that the Public Service Commission require the Water Company to proceed Immediately to augment the present water supply in the City of Las Vegas. I discussed this matter with Mr. Allard, Pr si- dent of the Public Service Commission and he stated that In view of the letter he would have to have a public hearing but because of the crowded condition of their calendar^ it would probably be set for sometime after September 15th. He also stated that he assumed the City would have an engineer present who would qualify to testify as to the method of increasing te present water supply. I presume it might be desirable sometime to discuss this matter and possibly for us to employ an engineer to review the earlier studies made by representatives of your department and be prepared to offer rebuttal testimony to any testimony offered by the City. I anticipate, as stated in my letter of August 2nd, that the State may have Mr. Sharaberger testify but I could not get Mr. Allard to commit himself definitely on that point. 1. 1. Bennett Snc.
