/ duration of the lease; that in consideration of the retention of said rights by Carson, Carson shall continue to pay when due, all real property taxes and assessments levied against the property subject to the lease, and effective as of April 19 , 1967 Carson shall hold Land Company harmless and indemnify Land Company from and against liability involving injury to or death of persons, also damage to or destruction of property arising out of or in any way connected with oil and gas operations on that portion of the property subject to the lease; and that agreement shall be binding upon the parties hereto, their successors and assigns; be, and the same is hereby ratified* approved and confirmed.
