LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL March 1 2 , 1946 Saturday, March 9, 1946 Part of Early-Day 1 Southern Nevada Cattle Ranch Sold Twelve Acres of Old Stewart Ranch Changes Hands for $35,000,' Sailor Son of Owners Makes Transaction While Still in the Service I Sale of twelve acres o| .the Stewart ranch, property that has been held in that family name since 1882, was negotiated this week through the office of Evelyn Finlayson, real estate broker Purchase was by Mr. and Mrs. George Jones and Lincoln Snyder from Mrs. Evaline Stewart Stay, for a price reported to be in excess of $35,000. j ______:i Particular portion of, the ranch j sold fronts NOrtfc Main street, below the Nevada state highway .department car barns. Buyers have stated intention to develop it, but declined to state what business operation would be established on it. Listing'with Miss Finlayson was by Francis Stay, son of the owner, who recently returned from navy duty in the south Pa cific. He stated that in the islands he had seen her advertisements in Review-Journals, and for that reason had selected her to handle. this transaction for the family.1 Stay is the third service-mail client recently who read her advertising while on military duty, Miss Finlayson said.
