Dear Sir: My chambermaids at the rooming- house have served notices today that they will quit on the 15th and I am trying to fill the position hut find that it is going to beaLmost impossible to do so at the salary we have been paying as that is the cause for the others leaving at this time. We are now paying $55.00 per month to the Upstairs chambermaid and $60.00 down stairs. I wish you would kindly send me authority to raise this wage a little fcr I do not believe it would be possible to secure others without raising the wages. V J. ROSS.
