6 Hr. Wsu Reinhardt; Las Yeg&s » April 29, W 25 { ee - Hr. 5. E. B— ----- log new r&. B e f o r e transmitting the proposed new rate schedule to the Public Service Commission, please note the effect the same would have on our revenue as indicated by comparison shown in the following table. re-clrculating system except the Old Ranch Pool, the voter from the latter being used for irrigation on the Las Yegas Ranch after being used for swimming purposes in the pool. While we would specify in our submission to the Public Service Commission that the proposed new rates would apply only to private swimming pools, the old rate to remain in effect for public pools, the Commission would probably refuse to recognize this differentiation on the theory that water rates should be baaed on the amount of water used, regardless of whether it is used for public or private purposes. We have had several requests for water service to proposed new swimming pools to be constructed in the rear of private homes and in the absence of meters it was my thought that we should make the rate high enough to discourage the construction of a large number of pools. While a few of these would have no serious effect on the general supply, a large number would, and the unfavorable feature is that the swimming pools are operated only during the summer months when we have the heaviest demand for ordinary domestic use. ms f c jja msm. m City Pool g§ Westside 20: 57x144x6 b9,2&8 $30*00 H o. 00 2%63x6 9*072 30.00 7*50 Old Ranch 72x21*5 Biltsiore 45x21x5 Mr. Daly 15x30x5 Bach of the above pools is equipped with a -1-
