Sir: In partial compliance with the request contained in your estimate of the 31st ultimo, you are hereby advised that authority has been granted for you to expend a sum not exceeding $475.00 in the open market purchase of- lGfcOOO pounds Mesquite beans, at not to ex­ceed 1 cent per pound....................................... $100.00 10,000 pounds hay, at not to exceed 1 l/2 cent s p er poun d............................. 150•00 75 cards of wood, at not to exceed $3.00 per cord..................................................... 225.00 $475.00 required for subsistence of school stock and for heating purposes# as stated in your estimate. Authority.is also granted, for you to expend a sum not ex­ceeding $190.15, in the opai market purchase of farm and garden seeds, at lowest obtainable rates, not however, to exceed the rates and quantities specified in your estimate above referred to, the same being required for planting purposes on your school farm, as stated in your estimate.
