I agree.6/4/69 FROM: Al Freeman / Sands Hotel / Las Vegas FOR RELEASE UPON RECEIPT ENTRATTER SETS RED SKELTON FOR TWO WEEKS OPENING JUNE 11th Las Vegas, Nevada (June 4th).........Red Skelton, one of America's great clowns, will appear for a two week engagement opening Wednesday, June 11th, in the Sands Copa Room in a new show presented by show producer Jack Entratter. The two-week engagement will make the 9th straight year that Skelton has appeared at the Sands and the show is again expected to set records. This year, Skelton will again bring new material for his Sands stay, and some of his classic sketches and pantomimes will also be included. Skelton recently completed his eighteenth year on CBS- Television and again emerged high in the ratings, clearly establishing him as one of the most enduring and loved funnymen in the business. Musical conductor for Skelton will be Don Ferris who will lead the 27-piece Sands orchestra. Much of the music will be original compositions by Red Skelton. Appearing with Skelton will be rising young singer, Gloria Loring who has become one of the most sought after performers of the bright new, non-rock vocalists. Following Red's two week engagement will be Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme opening June 25th. # # # # #
