Cam pbell: The coming summer w ill undoubtedly be the m ost c r itic a l with resp ect to w ater supply that the community has e ve r known. fo r the W ater D is tric t to develop new sources of supply in tim e fo r the coming season of high water demand. It is m y recom m endation that the W ater D is tric t authorize the L as V egas Land and W ater Company to develop or acquire addi­tional production fa c ilitie s as quickly as p o ssib le. I fe e l that this is the only means now available to assure the req u ired supply b efo re the heavy demand begins. not in te rfe re with the existing Land and W ater Company w ells. This m ay req u ire the acquisition of new w ell sites. I fe e l that in v ie w of the recen t grow th of L a s V egas the supply should be in crea sed by about 4 to 5 m illio n gallons per day. I shall be glad to cooperate with the Land and W ater Company in any way p ossib le.
