Dear Mr. Waterman, I am aware that an International Bridge Tournament will be held at your hotel from Oot, 9-12, 1966, In June I brought down fifty people to the Stardust Hotel for the Annual din Rummy Tournament, and I would like to be able to do the same thing with the; Sands Hotel, .1 know that these tournaments are a form of promoting people to Las Vegas, and besides play- ing gin or bridge, they like to play everything else ?╟ that' this exciting city has to offer, I happen to know a very large number of people, from all different olubs in Mexico City, and could get together for you a very nioe list beforehand so that you, would know who they were, and oheok their credit and their reliability, Mr, Milton Jaffe of the Stardust Hotel can tell you that it worked out quite suessessfully with him. We worked it out the following way* He paid their transportation from Mexioo City and back1, and they were all guests at the Hotel, I first send him a list of people on approvalj and he gave me the 0,K,, and then a rooming list was made out with the date; of arrival and the flight no. etc, and we were met at the airport by some of his Staff, and were treated very beautifully. Most people stayed a week, which was what had been offered, but some stayed much less. I think this little investment on the partkf Mr, Jaffe brought him baok quite a lot of profit, if I know that within the TJ.S, this is a very usual procedure 5 I think you call them junkies; hut it was the first time it was done from Mexioo City, If during the bridge tournament it could not be possible because of some objection, then maybe we Oould work it out during any other time, although ?√ß I think that the tournament is an excellent time, because people use it as an ex- cuse to get away from their work, and go to Vegas,; Mr. JoeRosenberg of the Riviera Hotel if you are wondering who I may he. .
