Description

From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series IV. Pahrump, Nevada -- Subseries IV.D. Wiley Family. Mrs. Brown and her son Steve originally lived at the Yount home on the ranch, but when Roland Wiley took possession, they moved to a nearby area in which a spring flowed and considerable vegetation was present. Wiley referred to the area as Dora's Place. In the 1970s, a flash flood destroyed the area, washing away the soil and trees and eliminating the spring.
