These hare uniformly oome bach 100# with the exception of a rare instance now and then where contamination wee traced to the faucet or spigot from, which the sample was taken and which cleared let was flamed. up after the outHowever the routine samples submitted the forepart of Hay showed unfavorable reaction on the Nortji Side and the East Stewart district in four lo- oatlone indicating possible contamination of the water main. As soon as we were advised of this result by the Hoard of Health we Immediately obtained the chlorinating machine (temporarily out of service from the open spring) and commenced dosing chlorine into the Ogden Street transmission main from which the North Side receives its water supply and hence into the rest of the system. At the end of this time the line was thoroughly flushed and new samples resubmitted from htahed cslaemae rleodc aupt*ions and analysis developed the contamination We thoroughly diecussed the matter with the Hoard of Health and the City Engineer in an effort to determine the cause as Hr.
