RESOLUTION Conference Committee Juvenile Court ORDINANCE NO. 606 Reduction of Building Area - Meadows Add'n. PROCLAMATION CONSERVATION OF WATER Commissioner Jarrett moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 607 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. At this time the Board considered a request from the Clark County Juvenile Board for the appointment of the following citizens to act as a Conference Committee in conjunction with the Juvenile Court: 1. Father Don Carmody 2. Mrs. Jake Kozloff 3. Mrs. Victor Giasson 4. Mr. Jack Pursel 3. Mr. Vernon Welbourne 6. Mrs. Deborah Moore 7. Dr. J. M. George Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved this request be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Las Vegas of Las Vegas, Nevada, that a Committee be appointed to act in conjunction with the Clark County Probation Department with a Probation Officer as Chairman, to investigate and make recommendation to the Clark County Probation Department in matters where violations of laws are alleged to have been made in which juveniles are involved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Honorable Judges of the Clark County Courts be requested to approve the appointment of such a Committee and that when and if such approval is given that the Mayor with the consent of the Governing Body will appoint such Committee for the purposes stated herein. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. At this time Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp members of the committee for recommendation of the proposed ordinance for reduction of building area in Meadows Addition reported favorably. Thereafter an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE REDUCTION OF THE BUILDING SITE AREA REQUIREMENTS IN THE MEADOWS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS: PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO: AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Sharp moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 606 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. Discussion was held on the request of the Las Vegas Water District for conservation of water. Thereafter it was determined a proclamation should be issued alternating the watering days starting May 1, 1954, and ending September 15, 1954. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time, Commissioner Sharp moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker.
