January 2, 1952 File W 05-11-22 Mr. Roy A. Wehe Consulting Engineer Pacific Mutual Bldg. 660 Market Street San Francisco 4» Calif. Dear Roy: I am sorry to have missed you when you were in Los Angeles during the Christmas season. I was out of the office Christmas week on a vacation and received your letter 'of December 24th when I returned to the office today. I do not know what will be the outcome of our proposal to consolidate the water production and distribution facilities at Las Vegas. Things are moving along quite rapidly* and it may be that a sale of the property to the Water District will take place before our people have an opportunity to reach a'final conclusion as to the advisibility of the proposed consolidation. At any rate we have all had our say. It is now up to our executives in New York and Omaha to decide what they wish to do. I appreciated very much your comments on the subject, which were forwarded along with our own. " I I hope to have some material from the Accounting Department to furnish Mr. Allen, of the Commission, in the near future. I do not expect to receive a hearty welcome, and it may be necessary to proceed with our court action. I plan to give him photostatic copies of completion reports on work orders since 1931 so that he can see that our capital figures are backed up by underlying records. I also plan to furnish him a statement showing that we spent at least the amount of money shown in the affidavits
