Commissioner Whipple moved the application of C.F. Shaw for renewal of eleven taxi cab licenses for the Blue Cab Company, 631 South 5th Street be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Commissioner Bunker moved the request of Tony Rivera, Fuller Brush Salesman for re­duction of the solicitors license fee be referred to the City Manager. Commissioner Whipple moved the minutes of January 4,6 and 10, 1956 be approved by reference and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign same. Commissioner Fountain, member of the committee for recommendation on the proposed ordinance adopting the 1955 Plumbing Code, requested additional time before re­porting. Commissioners Bunker and Whipple, committee for recommendation on the proposed ordinance providing for 2nd Inspection Fees requested additional time before re­porting. Commissioner Whipple, committee for recommendation on the proposed amendment to the Planning Ordinance concerning C-1 zones, requested additional time before re­porting. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO, AND MAKING A PART OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBE TERRITORY ADJOINING AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; DECLARING SAID TERRITORY AND INHABITANTS TO BE ANNEXED THERETO AND SUBJECT TO ALL LAWS AND ORDINANCES; ORDERING A PLAT SHOWING SAID TERRITORY TO BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER OF THE COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, having been reported in favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Fountain, was read in full to the Board.
