Fir s t National Bank NEVADA South Fifth Street Branch Las Vegas. Nevada September 18, 1952 Mr* W. H. Johnson, Manager Las Vegas Land and Water Company U01 So* 2nd Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Bill: I acknowledge receipt of your letter of September 11 enclosing a statement in the amount of $316.00 covering the period January 1 to August 31* 1952* for additional water furnished for our South Fifth Street Branch, First National Bank of Nevada* This matter has been referred t o our head office for their action} however, I wish again to protest payment of this amount as I sincerely and conscientiously believe that your good company would not want to be paid for water actually not furnished* I would appreciate it very much if you had the time to call at the bank and personally inspect this equipment. As stated in my previous letter, the only water used in connection with this equipment is to cool copper tubing which condenses the freon gas returned from the cooler to the condenser. The equipment which contains this tubing and the water which is sprayed over the tubing by the forced water pressure spray, is entirely made of metal and completely closed up* There is practically no possibility of water evaporation whatever* The water is recirculated by a pressure pump and I feel absolutely sure that the amount of gallons of water used in this cooling system would not equal more than $0% of the amount of water used for an ordinary single family residence* I feel sure that your good company wants to be paid only for the amount of water that they sell at a fair price. $39*50 per month,I am sure Bill, is entirely out of reason for the mmber of gallons of water that this system uses* Your s truly, RWjibw
