lurch of the ^Divine cf^nfant. Mr. A1 Freeman c/o Sands Hotel 10120 KENT ST. ?╟≤ WESTCHESTER, ILLINOIS REV. CHARLES H. LANBAN, PASTOR ?╟≤ FILLMORE 4-9071 September 23, 1957 #2 served and there will be an opportunity to play in the famous Sands* Gaming Casino. From our first embarkation into this form of fund-raising endeavor, our attendance has grown each year, till now we play for an audience of 8,000 to 10,000 people during the two evenings. Publicity is now started on this Festival; news articles and photos will appear in all local newspapers and also in the Chicago Sunday Tribune, Chicago Daily News and Chicago Sun-Times. Our effort will be to try to duplicate the exterior entrance of our chapel hall to that of the main entrance of the Sands Hotel; and the interior, which is some 200*xl00*, as closely as possible to the interior of the Sands Casino. This now brings us to the point of this letter - our needs. In our phone conversation I asked if you could mail to me photos of your hotel entrance, also of the dining rooms, bars and gaming casino?╓¬ We also spoke of giving away premTumj which"W?·^were going to use as fund-raising gimmicks. You mentioned.wallets in quantities of 200 or more. For these may I now express my thanks. You also spoke of napkins and coasters, which will be tremendously appreciated because this wTTI enable us to complete our motif. The success of this annual affair greatly depends on the cooperation we receive from people such as yourself in help- ing us develop the various themes that we have selected. If I may take a few more minutes of your reading time, the planning has brought forth such enthusiasm that a real key note to the complete affair would be to send a lucky couple for a short stay at the true spa of Las Vegas - the Sands Hotel, Whatever cooperation you can give on this portion will truly make this show a much bigger success than we already know it will be. May I extend my thanks to you in advance for your cooperation, and also to Mr. Archie Loveland, for the courtesy you and he extended to me on the phone. ~ ' William ^ Lemanskiv 1804 Belleview Avenue, WJL:JK Westchester, Illinois
