As it stands now, we have the CHRONICLE, the Port Worth PRESS, El Paso TIMES, and Austin AMERICAN- STATESMAN. No answer yet free Dallas, San Antonio, and a NO Iron Beaumont, Lubbock, Amarillo and Midland, all due to their papers being lamed up with promotions at this time. They seemed to like the idea, but regretted because of their tight schedule. I am enclosing the first story and bateh of pictures to you, and will follow with a set of 3-4 pictures to you which will be mailed as follows: Set # 2 - mailed on October 1 Set # 3 - mailed on October 4 Set # 4 - mailed on October 7 Set # 5 - mailed on October 11 Throughout the sets .of pictures I will try to show what the CopaGirl is, what she can expect to do in the way of work, what other girls have benefitted by being CopaGirls, etc. Please note that the enclosed story is merely an idea, a suggestion. Also please note I state that 25 girls will be semi-finalists in Houston ?╟÷ this of course is up to you, but because you are the largest city participating, I thought you might be entitled to have more girls trying for the contract. With 4 or 6 cities partic- ipating, there *s a good chance we may pick several from Houston. Anyway, I understand they have the prettiest ones in Texas, at least to guote Oaylynn. Well, looks like we're started. We'll use regular airlines, and hope to get started about October 12,13, or 14th, but I hope we can keep the definite date open * for a few more days.
