    . ' seconded and unanimously adopted: ^ WHEREAS, Las Vegas Land and Water Company, as Lessor, and Charles E. Baum, an individual, whose address is 7 Front Street, San Francisco, California, Lessee, entered into lease agreement, dated May 1, 1939, (Audit No. 9980) covering the southerly 150 feet of this company's Vegetable Shed No. 3, East 7th Street, Los Angeles, California, for the storing and handling of fibreboard, for term of one year from April 5, 1939, at monthly rental of $50.00, payable monthly in advance; and WHEREAS, on June 7, 1939, by mutual agreement, said Charles E. Baum moved his said operations t6 the northerly 150 feet of said Vegetable Shed No. 3 and vacated and sur­rendered said southerly 150 feet; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the action of Vice President Strong on behalf of this company in executing and delivering letter-agreement, dated June 30, 1939, (Audit No. 9980-1), addressed to said Charles E. Baum, providing, effective June 7, 1939, that said lease shall cover the northerly 150 feet instead of the southerly 150 feet of said Vegetable Shed No. 3, be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. On motion duly made and seconded, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: WHEREAS, in 1914, Las Vegas Land and Water Com­pany sold to C. A, French Lot 24, Block 5, Clark's Las Vegas Townsite, but he failed to record the deed conveying title to said lot; and WHEREAS, in 1918, said C. A. French sold said lot to Nellie Wait, now deceased; and -12-
