Approximately 1,895 LP of 6” cast iron water mains. 2m b, Approximately 20 LP of 6” cast iron fire hydrant connections. 3 The cost of constructing said water mains (exclusive of cost of 4 constructing said fire hydrant connections) is agreed to be the sum 5 of $6,446.00. 6 2. Said water mains shall be constructed of 6H Class 150 7 B & S cast iron pipe and shall be in accordance with Federal 8 specifications WWP 421 Type 1. All joints shall be cement. All 9 fittings shall be new, all bell cast iron equal to ASA Standard 10 Class 250. All valves shall be double disk, parallel seat bronze 11 mountings conforming to AWWA standards, not less than 175 lbs., and 12 all valve boxes shall be of cast iron of appropriate size for each 13 valve. Unless otherwise approved by a duly authorized representa- 14 tive of the Company, all pipe valves and fittings shall be manu- 15 factured by the Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company or Mueller 16 Company. All pipe lines shall be chlorinated in accordance with 17 AWWA specifications, shall be subject to the approval and acceptance 18 of State and City Health Authorities, and shall be constructed at ? 1 19 an elevation to be designated by a duly authorized representative of 20 the Company, but in no event shall there be less than 36" of cover- 21 ing over such water mains. All workmanship, material and installa- 22 tion of said water mains shall be subject to the approval and 23 acceptance of a duly authorized representative of the Company. 24 3. At Subdivider’s sole cost and expense to survey and ac- 25 curately stake upon the ground the line along which said water mains 26 are to be laid, and to indicate street and alley grades by appro-priate stakes* 'V -2-
