    Tampering with any fire hydrant for the unauthorized use of water therefrom or for any other purpose is a misdemeanor, punishable by law. Section 19. Supply to Separate Premises: Resale of Water. Separate premises, even though owned by the same consumer will not be supplied with water through a single meter. The consumer shall not permit the use or resale of any of the water received by him from the District on any premises other than those specified in his application for service, except by special arrange' ment with the District. Section 20. Water for Swimming Pools, Etc. In case an abnormally large quantity of water is desired for filling a swimming pool or other purpose, arrange­ments must be made with the District prior to taking such water. Permission to take water in unusual quan­tities will be given only if it can be safely delivered through the District’s facilities and if other consumers are not inconvenienced thereby. Section 21. Individual Liability for Joint Service. Where more than one party receives water from a single service, the District will not render individual statements to the parties. The person signing for the service will be responsible for all bills. Section 22. Meter Tests. A consumer who, for any reason, doubts the accuracy of the meter serving his premises may request a test of the meter. A deposit to cover the cost of the test will be required of the consumer as follows: Size of Meter Amount of Deposit 5 i " o r % " $1.00 i" $2.yo V/i" 5.00 2" or larger 10.00 Upon such request and following deposit of the amount required, another meter will be substituted for the meter in service and the consumer will be notified of the time and place that the meter will be tested. The consumer may be present to witness the test if he so desires. The amount deposited will be returned to him if the meter is found to register more than two per cent fast under conditions of normal operation and the Dis­trict will refund to the consumer the overcharge based 14 on the adjusted meter reading for the period in which the meter was in use, not exceeding six months unless it can be shown that the error was due to some known cause occurring at a definite time, in which case the overcharge will be computed back to the date of said cause. If the meter registers within the limit of error speci­fied above, the deposit for the meter test will be retained by the District as partial compensation for the cost of making the test. Meter testing equipment is located at the Corpora­tion Yard of the District, 2127 Adeline Street, Oakland. The scales used in weighing water used in testing are inspected and tested for accuracy at regular intervals. Section 23. Shortage of Water Supply and Inter* J ruption of Delivery. The District will exercise reason­able diligence and care to deliver a continuous and sufficient supply of water to the consumer at a proper pressure and to avoid any shortage or interruption in delivery of the same. The District will not be liable for interruption, shortage or insufficiency of supply, or any loss or damage occasioned thereby, if the same is caused by accident, act of God, fire, strikes, riots, war, or any other cause not within its control. The District, whenever it shall find it necessary or convenient for the purpose of making repairs or im­provements to its system, shall have the right to sus-end temporarily the delivery of water and it shall not e liable for any loss or damage occasioned thereby. Repairs or improvements will be prosecuted as rapidly as may be practicable and so far as possible at such times as will cause the least inconvenience to the con­sumers. Section 24. District Equipment on Consumer’s Premises. All equipment in connection with the water ft service installed by the District, if upon the consumer's premises, shall continue to be the property of the Dis­trict, and may be repaired, replaced or removed by the ji District at any time without the consent of the con­sumer. The District will make no payment for placing or maintaining said equipment upon the consumer's premises. The consumer shall exercise reasonable care to prevent damage to meters and other equipment of the District upon said premises, and shall in no way interfere with the operation of the same. If
