Las Vegas - Feb ru ary 26, 1 9 3 5 . Mr. B rack en : Mrs. Bracken phoned a few minutes ago that Frank Me Earnee is leaving for Reno in about ten minutes, so we'll either send this letter with him or by air mail. Enclosed is a clipping from this morning's Examiner with picture of WMJ, which you may have seen in Hearst's San Francisco edition. Also copy of a letter from BEB to Leo with regard to Assembly Bj.il Fo-55. Looked it up in the newspaper and find it has reference to taxes on water rights. The personal we wrote Mr. Knickerbocker about the employment of Mrs. Roberts came back this morning with his notation thereon "Employment of Mrs. Roberts appr oved. FHK”. Tom went down to see Billy Ferron a few minutes ago with regard to the recommendations of the Chamber on the water meter bill. Seems that he was just on the point of making a recommendation to the Chamber that they vote "Eo" on the bill, but after Tom talked to him a while and explained our view-point, he agreed to postpone his report for another week in order to give representatives of the Water Company a chance to meet with the committee and explain our side of the question. If you are back by the end of this week perhaps you and Leo will wish to attend this meeting, but if jiot, Tom and Leo will explain the situation. Everything going alright here. Tom and I are going to get Boy Scout uniforms for use in guiding parties to Boulder Dam. WE're just beginning to appreciate what a helluva job you had when you were here hauling these guys out every few days. Best regards, A1 & Tom
