Expenditures The Contractor s h a ll advance from i t s own funds a l l costs and expenses incurred by i t , except the cost o f la b o r, m aterials and supplies agreed to be furnished by the Owner. The Owner s h a ll re c e iv e the f u l l b e n e fit o f any And a l l reb ates, refunds and d is ­counts re c e iv e d by the C ontractor. 6 . F in al Statement On com pletion o f the work, the Contractor sh a ll submit to the Owner a f in a l statement in quadruplicate o f the t o t a l ex­penditures fo r the work performed by i t under th is con tra ct. Said f i n a l statement s h a ll be accompanied by o r ig in a l b i l l s and v o ic e s w itji one copy o f each, and s h a ll be c e r t if ie d by the Con­tr a c to r . 7. Au ditin g The Contractor sh a ll keep during the progress o f the work and preserve fo r one year a ft e r fin a l settlem ent accurate and d e ta ile d accounts o f a l l disbursements, and i t s h a ll g ive the Owner access at any and a l l times to a l l i t s books, accounts, documents and correspondence which p erta in to the execution o f th is agreement. 8 . F ir e Insurance Notwithstanding anything h erein contained to the co n tra ry , the Owner agrees th at i t w i l l , w ithout cost to the C ontractor, carry f i r e insurance upon said b u ild in g during the period o f con­s tru ctio n . 9. Workmen1s Compensation and L i a b i l i t y Insurance The Contractor s h a ll be su bject to and operate^under a l l ap p licab le fe d e r a l enactments and those o f the State in which the work is performed, regarding Employer’ s L i a b i l i t y , Work­men’ s Compensation and Workmen’ s Insurance, and exp ressly coy-cnants and agrees th at the C on tra cto r’ s employes engaged on the work hereunder are not and s h a ll not be tre a te d or considered as the servants and employes o f the Owner, i t being the in ten tio n o f the p a rtie s h ereto th at the Contractor s h a ll be and remain an independent con tractor and that nothing h erein contained sh a ll be construed in con sisten t w ith th at statu s.
