I agree..# ^T*ca * u ??* The world famous lido is the most exciting thing in Paris. Located in an enormous subterranean room in the heart of the Champs-Elysees, it features a swimming pool, panoramic stage, skating rink of real ice, a moving floor, and, of course, beautiful girls. All together they are the spectacle you see on these pages: the richness, originality and color of costumes, seen in such numbers as Souvenirs de Naples (the right center photograph on the opposite page) and la Fete Napo- litaine (the lower right photograph); and, the beauty exposed by an equally colorful lack of costumes. The huge club, largest in Paris, with a seating capacity of one thousand, is decorated in the manner of a sumptuous Venetian banquet hall. The surroundings, liquor and food are secondary, though. People come to see the show. Occasionally a Lido show will be staged elsewhere-so great is its fame. One, called "C'est Magnifique," is currently playing in Las Vegas' nev' Stardust hotel. Of the Paris version, one critic has said: "Both foreigners and the French, when coming to Paris, first visit the Eiffel Tower and the Lido. At the Lido they are assured of finding the most beautiful cabaret show in the entire world."
