Martin » Los Angelos Recent field Inspection discloses then is no lode on the scuttle hole on the northerly side of the Charleston Boulevard reservoir* nor is there one in operation on the north ventilator of the Charleston Boule ward settling basin* The reason lodes are not on these openings Is probably due to the fast that the hasps hare boon damaged or broken loose for sene unknown reason. All openings in both of the reservoirs sod all of the settling basins should be kept locked at all tines to prevent the possible entry of unauthorised, persons. Mill you also arrange to remove the snail tree adjacent to the entrance of the Charleston Boulevard puap house before the roots dasuige the water-proofing on the outside faoe of the concrete walls below ground surface* These roots should be killed or renewed but in doing so care should be exercised not to dosage the water­proofing on the concrete wallo* The ground water at this location is only about two feet below surface* Mill you please handle promptly.
