I agree.12/23/72 AUNT MARTHA READY FOR ALL-NEW LIDO LAS VEGAS?╟÷Aunt Martha has a garish new hat, her usual outlandish clothing and her nasty personality all set for audiences, coming to see the all-new 10th edition of Lido de Paris, opening Dec. 28, at the Stardust Hotel. Her mentor, ventriloquist Dick Weston, says Aunt Martha hasn't changed a bit. "She's still the nice grandmother type, who refuses to keep a civil tongue." Weston will be armed with some of his other dummies, but Aunt Martha is still the favorite of crowds as she constantly rips at Weston with her cantankerous wit. His appearance in the new edition of the Lido marks a triumphant return to Las Vegas for Weston, who has long been a comedy favorite here. The finest specialty acts in the world have been signed to complement the extravagant production numbers that are the byword of the Lido revue. Along with the specialty acts, everything else in the 10th edition is new, including productions, scenery, costumes and music. Since opening at the Stardust in 1958, the Lido has shattered every attendance record in Las Vegas. To accommodate some of the turnaway crowds, Stardust management has announced that the Cafe Continental will soon be expanded by 300 more seats. ### -36-
