The Southern Nevada Power Company also pays a utility m a n $10*40 a day, the duties of this man being similar to those of George Manning, water checker, for whom we arc asking an increase from $173 to $200 per month* The Onion Pacific Railroad Company pays a clerk in their yard office $180*65 per month, the duties of this clerk being quite similar to those of Miss Ila Bryan, clerk-stenographer, whose salary we are asking to be increased from $160 to $170 per month* Company are regulated by the Nevada Public Service Commission and the proposed increases would not tend to affect in any w a y what- " soever the prices of commodities sold by the later Company, to-wlt, water to the inhabitants of Las Vegas* I would very much appreciate it, therefore, if further consideration might be given to this application in order that we m y not be faced with the prospect of losing additional Yd h understand, of course, that the rates of the Water
