place within the City limits unless a dumping ground is provided therefor by the Board of Commissioners of said City. Said ashes, paper, straw, manure, rags, boxes, scrap metal and like material, and rubbish of all kinds shall be removed in such way that no part there of will be permitted to be dropped upon or be scattered along the streets, alleys or other places over which the same is transported. All such material delivered at said dumping grounds shall be deposited thereon at such places and in such manner as the Commissioner of the Streets and Public Property shall prescribe, and he shall have control and supervision over all public dumping grounds and dumps. Sec. 3. Any violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall constitute a misdemeanor, and every person, firm or corporation found guilty of violating any of said provisions shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than Ten Dollars nor more than One Hundred Dollars, or imprisoned in the City Jail until such fine is paid at the rate of not exceeding one day of each two dollars of such fine in case such fine is not paid, or by imprisonment in the City Jail not exceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Sec. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and he in. operation on and after its adoption and publication for a period of one week (one issue) in the Las Vegas Review, a weekly newspaper published in said City of Las Vegas. Passed: by the Board of City Commissioners this 5th day of May, 1922, upon the following vote: Commissioners: Arnold, Gorton, Hodgens and Mayor Pro Tem Dentner, voting aye. Noes, none.
