Resignation of City Manager Appointment of Acting City Manager Award of Bid - New Police Car Award of Bid on Tires TO: E. W. CRAGIN, MAYOR and to WENDELL BUNKER, ROBERT TO. MOORE, WILLIAM PECCOLE, REED WHIPPLE, Commissioners and GEORGE 0. TREEM, City Manager and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Cragin, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City Of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Mayor's Office, at the City Hall, 5th & Stewart, on the 28th day of February, 1950, at the hour of 7:15 P.M. to consider the following matters: Resignation of City Manager Appointment of Acting City Manager Award of Bid - new Police Car Award of Bid on Tires ACCEPTANCE OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager and City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, do hereby admit due service of the foregoing Notice of Special Meeting: /s/ E. Moore__________________ _________\________________________________ ............ /s/ Wendell Bunker__________________ ...... _________________________-_______________ A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners held this 28th day of February, 1950 was called to order at the hour of 7:15 P.M. by His Honor E. W. Cragin with the following members present: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple. Absent: City Attorney Howard W. Cannon, City Manager George O. Treem and City Clerk Shirley Ballinger. CITY MANAGER Commissioner Moore moved the resignation of George O. Treem as City Manager be accepted, Resignation effective March 1, 1950 and that he be given thirty days pay in lieu of sick leave and vacation he might have accrued. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ACTING CITY MANAGER Commissioner Moore moved that the City Engineer, W. C. Anderson be appointed Acting City Appointment Manager in connection with his other duties. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PURCHASE OF CARS Commissioner Moore moved that the City Manager be authorized to purchase from A. C. Grant, two 8-cylinder Fords at the bid price of $1562.20 to be purchased if the money is available. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners .Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. TIRE BID AWARDED Commissioner Moore moved the U. S. Tire Supply Co., the low bidder, be awarded the bid for tires both truck and passenger car, for the year ending February 28, 1951. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PLUMBING INSPECTOR Commissioner Moore moved the salary of the Plumbing Inspector, Arthur Angel, be raised to Salary $350,00 per month effective March 1, 1950. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple passed his vote. There being no further business to come before this special meeting, the meeting adjourned.
