I agree. At Mayor Onegin1* request, X attended a preliminary meeting this afternoon in the Mayor1# office at which time the Commission stated positively something would have to he done to stop the constant complaints made to them about lew pressure in the evening hour# and they proposed to immediately cancel the present restriction on lawn sprinkling during certain hour# of the day* Among varicue other tuggeatlon# offered was one that a dividing line such as 7th Street he designated with people living on the west side Of that line being permitted to sprinkle on odd number days; and people east of the line on even number days* I strongly recommended against oanoellatlen of the Sprinkling Ordinance at this critical time and called their attention to the fact that while there was some inconvenience by reason of low pressure# between 6 P*M. and 8 P.M*, yet on the other hand there were certain advantage# such aa adequate fire protection and full pressures in the business district during daylight hours* Mill keep you informed of what action 1# taken to-morrow and will be glad to have your reaction to the establishment of a dividing line at 7th Street and removal of restrictions* A* M* Folger
