The acquisition of this acreage was also reoowaendsd by ms Kelson Taylor to his report August 4, 1937, and we have been carrying on indirect negotiations with the owner but thus far have been unable to acquire it at a prise of $20 per acre,* *ffee other 18C: acres.owned by 1* M. Pike and others, is probably also in the water ledge but is considerably lower than our present sources of supply, and even though water were developed in that location it would probably to necessary to lift it with, a pump in order to get it into toe settling basin. This land could probably to purchased for the same price we paid* for toe Htosan acreage, that is #30 per acre, and will to of value to the future as protection to our water-bearing land, suggested by Mr. Reinhardt and Mr. Greene.*
