    (b) That the use of the facsimile signature shall be made only under the direction and supervision of the officer whose signature it represents; (c) That all of the mechanical devices shall at all times he kept in a vault, securely locked, when not in use, to prevent any misuse of the same. SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall he in full force and effect upon its final reading and adoption, and final publication as in the next section provided. SECTION 5. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shal1 cause this ordinance to he published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. SCHELLACK Mayor Subscribed and sworn to me before this 19th day of July 1955. /s/ NEOLA GIERHART NOTARY PUBLIC IN AND FOR CLARK COUNTY NEVADA My Commission Expires April l4, 1957 ORDINANCE NO. 652 AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE REDUCTION OF THE BUILDING SITE AREA REQUIREMENTS ON LOTS WITHIN THE CITY ZONED R-2, R-3, AND R-4 BEFORE AUGUST 1, 1955; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. WHEREAS, there are many lots within the City of Las Vegas which have been zoned R-2, R-3, and R-4 although said lots contain less than 7000 square feet in area; and WHEREAS, a lot size of less than 7000 square feet in area will not permit the construction of multiple dwellings even though the zoning may so permit; and WHEREAS, a variance from the strict application of the Zoning Ordinance is necessary in every case and in order to save time and expense in the future it will be in the public interest to provide for the issu­ance of building permits without first applying for a variance in each case. NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. From and after the passage of this ordinance, the minimum building site requirement of 7000square feet for the construction of multiple dwellings shill be reduced to 6000 square feet for those lots zoned R-2, R-3; or R-4 by the Master Plan of Land Use, 1953 Revision, as amended. In no case, how­ever, shall a multiple dwelling or dwelling group occupy a site which provides less than 3000 square feet of land per family or dwelling unit in an R-2 classification; or less than 1750 square feet of land per family or dwelling unit in an R-3 classification; or less than 700 square feet of land per family or dwell­ing unit in an R-4 classification. SECTION 2. Upon the passage of this ordinance, the Supervisor of Building and Safety shall issue the necessary permits without requiring a variance, provided the plans of such construction are in accordance with any other ordinances of the City. SECTION 3. The provisions of this ordinance shall apply only to those areas zoned or rezoned R-2, R-3, or on or before August 1, 1955. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its final reading and adoption and final publication as in the next section provided. SECTION 6.
