Mr. ¥. R. Rouse 2 . October 16, 1952 Also the corporation must file with the Secretary of State a statement of the location of its principal office within the State of California and the person designated as its resident agent for service of process. I am enclosing original and four copies of such a statement which could be used in case it is decided to qualify the company in this state. A fee of #5 is charged for the filing of this statement. There would also be charged the usual fees of the Secretary of State for certifying and of the County Clerk for filing. If it is decided to qualify the Company in California, I should be furnished with an original certified copy of the Articles and all amendments thereto and five copies so that I can file copies in the Counties of San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles and have a copy for my file. It is my opinion that the Company, when qualified, would be authorized to hold title to real property in the State of California. The reference to the "domestication” of The Union Land Company in a previous letter was not an apt expression. All that need be done is to qualify it as a foreign corporation in the manner above outlined. E. E. Bennett ECR'.MSp Ends.
