    AKATEEN REPORT *Odlober 1995
The AkAteens held their first step practice on September 23, 1995, at the Home of Soror Jacqueline Hall. Members of the Kappa Xi Chapter were there to help them learn new step routines.
Great fun was had by all. We should be well represented in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade.
The AKAteens first Community Service Project was held, today, October 7, 1995, at Child Haven. They gave 15 young ladies ranging in age from 4 years to 11 years a Pre-Halloween party. Pictures were taken and they played games and handed out cupcakes, candy, and prizes. A total of $91.00 was spent on this community service activity.
The next meeting schedule is the Breast Self-examination Workshop put on by the American Cancer Society on October 14, 1995. This event will be held at the West Las Vegas Library and will begin at 10:00am. Please come out and help support this workshop.
In November the young ladies will have a workshop on money and economics presented by Soror Barbara Kirkland. This workshop will be on November 18, 1995, at the West Las Vegas Library.
The new members will have an introduction meeting at the Home of Soror Lisa McNeil on Friday, October 13, 1995. They will of course begin their first AKAteen experience by attending the Breast Self-examination workshop on October 14, 1995.
    Respectfully submitted,
Jacqueline R. Hall Co-chairman AKAteen Committee
