    OPENING OF BIDS No. 55.02 Gasoline OPENING OF BIDS No. 55.03 Tires & Tubes OPENING OF BID No. 55.04 Batteries OPENING OF BIDS No. 55.05 Diesel & Fuel Oil OPENING OF BIDS No. 55.06 Seed His Honor asked if there were any objections. None were voiced. Mr. Keefer appeared before the Board at this time on behalf of the petitioners, requesting that this vacation be allowed. Commissioner Jarrett moved that this request for vacation of Bonneville between 13th and 14th Streets be continued until April 20th to obtain a report from the Traffic and Parking Commission. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for opening of Bid No. 55.02 for gasoline, bids were received from the following firms; Standard Oil Company Wilshire Oil Company Signal Gasoline Tidewater Texaco Sky Chief Richfield Oil Company Shell Oil Company Flinco Inc. Commissioner Whipple moved that these bids be referred to the City Manager for study and recommendation on March 21, 1955. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for opening of Bid No. 55.03 for tires and tubes for the City, bids were received from the following firms: Las Vegas Firestone Richfield Truck Service Superior Tires Signal Oil Company U. S. Tire Supply William Homer Flinco Inc. Del Barkhuff Commissioner Sharp moved that the above bids be referred to the City Manager for study and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for opening of Bid No. 55.04 for batteries for the City, bids were received from the following firms: Las Vegas Firestone United Battery Distribution Co. Signal Oil Co. General Auto Parts Las Vegas Auto Parts Clark County Wholesale Bob Coffin Distribution Co. Flinco Inc. Bi-rite Sales Inc. Commissioner Sharp moved that the above bids be referred to the City Manager for study and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for opening of Bid No. 55.05 for diesel and fuel oil for the City, bids were received from the following firms: Union Oil Company of California Signal Oil Company Tidewater Associated Oil Company Shell Oil Company Texas Company Richfield Oil Company Western Heating & Ventilating Company Flinco Incorporated Vegas Heating & Oil Co. Incorporated Commissioner Bunker moved that the above bids be referred to the City Manager for study and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for opening of Bid No. 55.06 for seed for the Golf Course, bids were received from the following firms: 3-16-55
