Dear S i r : You have undoubtedly been apprised, through Mr. Coey and Mr. Adamson, of the very grave water s itu a tio n here during the past few days. On June 20, we had only 4 f t . 6 inches of water in the larg e r e s e r v o ir . The follow ing four days, the measurements were as fo llo w s: June 2 1 - 4 fe e t 8 inches June 2 2 - 5 f e e t 4 inches June 2 3 - 5 fe e t 6 inches June 2 4 - 7 fe e t 0 inches The gain in the water r e s e rv o ir was due to the public being advised of the s itu a tio n through the Las Yegas Review, as per clip p in g herewith enclosed, and a ls o to the f a c t th a t, as you suggested some time ago, we put on a canvasser to cheek water waste in the O ity, but conditions a re , a t th is w ritin g , s t i l l very alarming to me.
