    Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. LIQUOR LICENSE The Commission considered the application of William Cosulas for a Wholesale New Beverage liquor license at Bonanza Beverage, 2744 Highland Drive. The City Manager Bonanza Beverage advised that Mr. Cosulas has been previously licensed as a partner in the Las Vegas Distributing Company, and the Police report is favorable. Commissioner Fountain moved the application of William Cosulas for a Wholesale Beverage liquor license at Bonanza Beverage, 2744 Highland Drive be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. LIQUOR LICENSE Consideration was given to the addition of Robert E. Jay to the Tavern liquor license Addn. of Partner of the Blue Heaven, 2025 E. Charleston, presently issued to Lee Glenn and Blue Heaven Cecil Lynch. City Manager Kennedy explained that Mr. Jay is applying for 1/3 interest in this license, and the Police report is favorable. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Robert E. Jay for addition to the Tavern liquor license of the Blue Heaven, 2025 E. Charleston, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. GAMING LICENSE Commissioner Fountain moved the application of Lee Glenn, Cecil Lynch and Robert New E. Jay for a gaming license for 5 slot machines at the Blue Heaven, 2025 E. Charleston Blue Heaven be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to isssue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. CHARITABLE Commissioner Bunker moved the following applications for Charitable Solicitation SOLICITATION PERMITS Permits, as recommended by the Solicitations Review Board, be approved and the Approved Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the permits: Press Club of Las Vegas Friends of Youth St. Christopher's Mother's Club Prewin Foundation, Inc. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. CIGARETTE LICENSES Commissioner Fountain moved the following applications for license for the retail sale of cigarettes and tobacco products be approved, and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the licenses: SPUDNUT 923 E. Charleston Sutton Vending BERMUDA APTS. 325 Cincinnati Sutton Vending JEAN'S DRY CLEANING 1537 North 5th Sutton Vending FRANK MILLER'S GARAGE 1412 South Main Sutton Vending RINGSBY TRUCKING CO. 231 Utah Sutton Vending OLD MEXICO FOODS 1405 North 5th Sutton Vending Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING LICENSES Commissioner Fountain moved the following applications for additional gaming Additional licenses be approved, and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to Approved issue the licenses: AQUA HOTEL Glenn Sales 1401 South 5th 5 slots MODERN MARKET Harry Tabak 121 North 5th 6 slots WESTERN LIQUOR Automatic Amusement 6 E. Charleston 1 Cash Pay Pinball Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. AMBULANCE LICENSE The Commission considered the application of Dale Henry for a license for one ambulance, Doctors' & Emergency dba Doctors' and Emergency Ambulance Service at 1412 Fremont Street. Ambulance Service Commissioner Fountain asked the City Manager how many ambulance services are licensed at the present time. Mr. Kennedy advised that there is one such service, Mercy Ambulance, and it is his understanding that the other firm, Las Vegas Ambulance Co., is out of business. Mr. M.M. Bishop, owner of Mercy Ambulance Service was present at this time, and advised that he was not opposing this application for license; however, he did wish to request that the Commission give careful consideration to the issuance of a license. Mr. Bishop further advised the Board that this applicant, the former operator of Las Vegas Ambulance Co., and the prospective applicant for this type of license are all former employees of this company. 6-18-58
