I agree.Mr. Leo A. MeNamee August 16, 1954 be paid over to the District; and the escrow will be kept open only for the purpose of handling the Relocation Fund. In that connection it would seem to me that the Bank should be authorized to bill the respective parties for their proportionate share of expenses which each is obligated to pay under the contract, as there would seem to be no reason why the Bank should hold this matter up pending the final disbursement of the Relocation Fund. I would be glad to have your views as to the thoughts I have suggested in this letter so we can get this much of the deal behind us. Yours very truly, E. E. Bennett EEBsps cc - Mr C. M. Cory: PS - CMC; I wish you would review the pertinent provisions of the contract and the Escrow Instructions, and maybe you can work with Leo McNamee and make up a draft of such proposed letter and send it in to me for consideration. As you know, Leo doesn’t always keep on top of these matters, and I hate to keep pressing him, but the President’s office is pressing me and I would like to get it cleaned up if possible. E. E. B.
