Mr. L. V. Peart - Omaha This refers to water service furnished the Young end Smith heady Mix Concrete Company, 300 Wyoming Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada and rates charged for same. In this connection prior to September 1, 1952, under rate schedule #17 which was effective September 1, 1951 and approved by the Public Service Commission of Nevada, we charged this Company $$* per cubic yard of concrete manufactured* Effective September X, X952# under the preasnt rate schedule, the rate of 6f£ per oubio yard was charged for each cubic yard of concrete manufactured. The Young and Smith Heady Mix Concrete Company felt these charges were unreasonably out of line with the amount of water used and filed a complaint with the Public Service Commission asking them to decrease the rates charged by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company* The Public Service Commission requested the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to submit a revised rate to cover this type of operation in view of the unreason** ably high rate charged for this type of service* The Las Vegas Land and Water Company submitted a new rat© schedule to the Public Service Commission covering this type of service to be effective Dec* 1, 1952* Following is the new approved rate covering ready mix concrete plants* BATE #55A "Transits Mix Concrete Plants" 1000 cubic yard capacity cr lees - 112*22 1001 cubic yard to 2500 cubic yard capacity - |25*00 over 2500 cubic yard capacity ~ #50*00 Las Vegas W 2> 6 • SDeercveimcbee rN o1*? #1 31790553 Contract Audit IO638
