Elephant Mine
We the undersigned do this day locate and claim fifteen hundred feet on this the Elephant lead lode or deposit of gold and silver bearing rock and ore in place. North three hundred feet on each side of [not legible] for working purposes.
Commencing at the monument upon which this notice is placed and extending seven hundred and fifty feet in an Easterly direction and seven hundred and fifty feet in a Westerly direction.
This mine was formerly worked by Boyd [not legible] was not located [not legible] recorded and is East of the Wall Street mine.
