L. L. Arnett, Mayor Viola Burns, Clerk CITY OF LAS VEGAS Gateway to Boulder Canyon Dam LAS VEGAS, NEVADA June 20 1935 Las Vegas Land & Water Company, Las Vegas, Nevada. Attention: Mr. Walter A. Bracken Dear Mr. Bracken: This Acknowledges receipt of your letter of June 15th. I have given serious consideration to the matters suggested in your letter and assure you, that it is my policy and the policy of the board to co-operate to the utmost of our ability in conserving the natural public and private resources and property of the city and its inhabitants. With these objectives in view it will be recommended to the Board that such ordinances be passed as may be appropriate to that end bearing in mind at all times, however, the public necessities. I recently requested you to furnish me with certain data to assist in framing proper and adequate legislation to meet the situation. No doubt, you nave over looked this. I, therefore, again request the following information. 1. The daily average flow of your large well. 2. The daily average flow of your springs. 3. The daily average flow of water going into the settling tank. 4. The daily average flow into reservoir. 5. The daily average amount used by the inhabitants of West Side. 6. The daily average amount used by the city of Las Vegas proper exclusive of West Side. 7. The daily average loss through overflow. 8. The daily average consumption of Pacific Fruit Express. 9. The daily average amount shipped to Boulder City and other points. 10. The daily average amount consumed by the Union Pacific Railroad.
