twenty first class fire plugs of the latest improved make - one at or near the hoisting works over the Lightner Shaft, one at the stable of C. H, Light, one at the plaza in front of the law office of Ashley, Thornton & Kelley, two on Cedar Street, one at the junction of Cedar Street with Meadow Valley Street, two between that point and the Pioche S. M. Company's hoisting works, one at the junction of Meadow Valley and Main Streets, one at the junction of Main and Laeour Streets, one near the Court House and two between these two last named points and the rest of said twenty to be placed on the line of the said pipe where the Trustees of said Fire Department may designate, all of said Tank, pipe and plugs to be furnished by the said Party of the Second Part and all the work etc* to be done by said Party of the Second Part until everything is ready for the hose, at the expense of said Party of the Second Part, and the said Party of the Second Part is to proceed in the premises with usual and proper diligence. And the said County Commissioners, or their successors shall levy and collect a tax as provided by Act of the Legis­lature of the State of Nevada entitled "An Act to create a Fire Department Fund," Approved March 9th, 1865, and shall pay there­from to the said Party of the Second Part as soon as it can be paid therefrom, the sura of Six Thousand Dollars (6000$) in Gold Coin of the United States together with interest thereon at the rate of two per cent per month until paid, said interest to be in like Gold Coin, and to commence from the time all the material (said pipe, plugs etc.) is on hand at Pioche, and the Agent of the said Party of the Second Part notifies the said Trustees of the said Fire Department or their successors, that it is so on hand. And after said pipe is laid as aforesaid and said plugs fixed as aforesaid, the same together with the ground supporting & sustaining and containing the same shall be owned by the said
